Larks, Pipits and Wagtails - The Pied Wagtail

First seen on Friday 28th August 2020 at Druridge Pools

Another bird that is often faithful to the same spots, Pied Wagtails can usually be found where there are people, scavenging for scraps. At Druridge though, as well as the beach, they are often found in the meadows and pools looking for insects

The two below were both found on the beach. Pied Wagtails are all over black, white and grey (although a Grey Wagtail confusingly has quite a lot of yellow colouring). The second photo is a juvenile, much paler, with a hint of yellow on its face.
