Pigeons and Pheasants - The Stock Dove

First seen on Monday 17th May 2021 at Druridge Pools

Stock doves can be found flying around the dunes and grazing in the surrounding farm fields. Although at first glance they look like feral pigeons, stock doves are subtly different. They are quite plain, other than a striking patch of iridescent green on the neck. They also have large black eyes, which look a lot 'kinder' than the pigeon's piercing eyes.
