Ducks, Grebes and Coots - The Surf Scoter

First seen on Sunday 3rd November 2024 at Druridge Pools

The Surf Scoter is quire a rare visitor to see at Druridge, with just the very occasional sighting. These two were out at sea opposite the Pools area. Surf Scoters are easily identified by their large orange bill, white forehead and white patch on the back of their neck. These two were a bit distant to see the wonderfully bizarre markings sadly.
