First seen on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 at Druridge Pools

The Tiger Crane Fly (Nephrotoma flavescens) is the colourful cousin of the common Crane Fly. They are classed as a common garden pest, although it's the larvae that are the pests, feeding on plant roots. It is noticeably smaller than most other crane flies.
