Pigeons and Pheasants - The Wood Pigeon

First seen on Wednesday 31st March 2021 at Druridge Pools

I've found Wood Pigeons a bit elusive at Druridge, with just the occasional sighting. They are plain grey like stock doves and pigeons, but have a white patch on the neck, spoiling their patch of iridescent green. They also have a white bar on the wing - very distinctive when flying. Finally, they have those rather scary pale oval eyes.
