Mammals - The Brown Rat

First seen on Wednesday 4th November 2020 at Wallington

The Brown Rat (also known as the Common Rat) is something that's often seen, but seldom welcome, under bird feeders picking up the scraps. They are quite large, similar in size to a squirrel, so cannot be mistaken for a mouse or vole. They have a long, hairless tail, but can look quite cute, despite their bad reputation.
