Geese and Swans - The Canada Goose

First seen on Thursday 19th March 2020 at Wallington

Canada Geese can regularly be seen on the lakes and meadows in the UK. Easily identified by their black head and neck, with a distinctive white chinstrap. As well as swimming on the water and sleeping on the banks, in the winter they gather in large numbers grazing on the meadows. Wallington's lakes are a wee bit small for large numbers of geese, but two were here on the middle and boathouse ponds.
