Molluscs - The Copse Snail

First seen on Thursday 15th July 2021 at Wallington

Copse Snails have quite a distinctive pattern on their shells - brown mottled with pale flecks, plus a dark brown band around the circumference. They are found in wooded areas (giving them their name). These were found in the wooded area near the stepping stones. Interestingly, whereas most slugs and snails live 1 or 2 years, Copse Snails can live up to 17 years.
