Bees - The Honey Bee

First seen on Friday 18th June 2021 at Wallington

As the name suggests, these are the bees that we get honey from. They live in hives and come out to find the flowers and collect nectar and pollen. Honey bees are fairy small, and not brightly coloured. This one is probably a dark form worker bee. Sometimes, the queen can leave a colony, taking a large portion of the worker bees with her to form a new colony. These bees can form a 'swarm' on tree.
