Birds of Prey - The Kestrel

First seen on Thursday 12th November 2020 at Wallington

Kestrels will normally be hovering in search of food, often some distance away. If you are lucky, you may find one perched in a tree, or on a post feeding or preening. Females are an all-over brown in colour. Males have a grey head, and more vivid chestnut coloured wings with a dark tip. This male was in the meadow beside the house.
