Caterpillars - The Peacock Caterpillar

First seen on Tuesday 12th July 2022 at Wallington

Most of the caterpillars I see turn out to be those of moths. Surprisingly, this was the first lot of butterfly caterpillars I've seen at a National Trust property. They are Peacock Butterflies - very distinctive black with white dots with large spikes. They feed on stinging nettles, and all the ones I saw were indeed doing just that.
