Ducks, Grebes and Coots in all National Trust Properties

These are the medium sized birds, that are usually found on the rivers and lakes. Most are resident all year round, some are occasional visitors, and some such as the Wigeon are here for the winter only. Generally, they feed either by diving (completely underwater), or dabbling (feeding on the water surface). Some, such as the Wigeon, are grass grazers.
