Arthropods - The Centipede

First seen on Tuesday 10th August 2021 at Cragside

Despite its name, the Centipede only has 15 pairs of legs. This one is probably a Brown Centipede Lithobius forficatus the most common species, although thy are all very similar. They have poisonous claws and large biting jaws which they use to catch their prey.
