The Green Tiger Beetle is a fairly large beetle (15mm) with a spectacular iridescent body. Usually found in gravel and sandy areas, they are fast and agile predators with sickle shaped jaws. They prey on other invertebrates, including spiders, caterpillars and ants. This one was found on the Wetland Walk.
