Geese and Swans - The Greylag Goose

First seen on Sunday 27th October 2019 at Cragside

Greylag Geese can usually be seen on one of the lakes, or grazing in the meadows. They can be identified by their all-over brown colour, bright white tails and large bright orange bills. There were four of these on the Tumbleton Lake. In the summer, large flocks can gather on Nelly's Moss Lake (as in the lower photo).
