Bumblebees - The Red-tailed Bumblebee

First seen on Tuesday 10th August 2021 at Cragside

Quite common in most places with flowers, this bumblebee has another apt name. The females are all over black, with just a red tip to its tail. The one below is a male which is quite different to the females, as well as the red tail, they have yellow fur around their shoulders and face. This one is particularly pale, and is more white rather than yellow.
