Siskins can occasionally found on some back-garden feeders, but are normally seen feeding in birch and especially alder trees. Siskins feed in a very distinctive way - they feed on the seeds from cone-like fruits and hang from the branches in an acrobatic way, often upside down, and quite close to each other. You can often see these birds at the top of the tallest trees behind the Clocktower Cafe, although they occasionally come down a bit lower elsewhere on the estate.
