Grass Moths are a family of similar species of micro-moths. These small moths look interesting when they fly, but when they land they tend to fold their wings up and vanish. If you do find them after they have landed, they all tend to be very similar in appearance, so it's very difficult to distinguish between them!

This is a Garden Grass-veneer (Chrysoteuchia culmella). Usually found in grass, its main distinguishing features are the evenly spaced angled lines in its wings, pale chevrons at the end, a pale edge, and a black dot or two on the end. They do vary in tone depending on age and wear.
